GP Practices in Ayrshire and Arran are changing to help you get the right care and advice when you need it.

In addition to the staff you currently see within your practice, there will be a range of new roles who will be part of the new multidisciplinary teams. This may mean that you will not always need to see your GP.

Over the three year implementation, practices will have access to a GP Pharmacist, who will work closely with the GPs, nurses, physiotherapists and other practice staff, all with the common goal of coordinating the best possible care for patients.

These new changes ensure you see the right person, at the right time, in the right place.

“Having a Pharmacist in practices is a really good idea. I was offered an appointment really quickly and now have regular reviews with him”.
