Welcoming, Friendly, Traditional GP Practice in the Coastal Town of Ayr
The Surgery @ 9 Alloway Place has Four GP Partners, Doctors Hendry, Hunter, Coulter and McGaughey. The Practice is situated in the centre of Ayr town centre, a principal town of Ayrshire & Arran overlooking Ayr Seaside, the Low Green and the beautiful Isle of Arran.
Established for over 30 years we reside in a traditional Georgian building which is owed by the GP Partners with an average list size of 5500 patients.
The area offers excellent transport links, childcare facilities and schools overlooking the seaside town of Ayr which has a rich history, and offers many outside-of-work pursuits and amenities including, coastal walks, world class golf, water sports and plentiful in terms of family friendly and other sporting and social activities. Ayrshire also offers many well established and popular eateries.
Glasgow is within easy commute. We are a 3-4 minute walk from Ayr Train Station with trains running every 30 minutes to Paisley and Glasgow Central. We may consider a Practice-based car in the future to assist with transportation and community house visits.
The Doctors deliver their clinical services in a traditional manner where the role of the GP and the Practice Nurse remains highly valued.
We are novel in our ideas and working practices and can offer genuine work, life balance. We believe in being malleable in our decision making processes and changes. We welcome new concepts and ideas and put our patients first and foremost.
Being a Teaching and Training Practice we are very proud to offer GP Trainees, FY2 Doctors and Medical Students a broad and stimulating experience within our Surgery.
The Practice offers dedicated room space and a steady offering of home-baking and tea and coffee on demand! We dedicate time daily for meeting and sharing clinical discussion.
We value and nurture integrated working with our wider community based teams in the delivery of our services. The Practice offers many specialist services and welcome individuals with specific interests and skills into the Practice.
