Advanced Nurse Practitioner Vacancy  37.5 Hours per week

An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Advanced Nurse Practitioner to join our friendly team.

The practice is based in the modern, purpose-built Community Hospital in the coastal town of Girvan. We are a dedicated team consisting of 3 GP Partners, 2 Practice Nurses and 7 administration staff serving a Practice population of around 4200 patients. The Practice are well supported by our multi-disciplinary team with access to District Nursing Services, General Practice Clinical Pharmacist, Advanced Physiotherapist Practitioner, Mental Health Practitioner, Community Links Worker and Community Phlebotomy Service. The Practice uses EMIS and Docman software.

We are seeking an enthusiastic, motivated and experienced Advanced Nurse Practitioner with Independent Prescribing who can provide an advanced level of nursing practice and clinical decision making. The ideal candidate must be able to work autonomously, and have excellent clinical assessment and diagnostic skills. Your main role will be managing the daily demand for minor illness, working independently in assessment and prescribing, but an interest in Chronic Disease Management would also be advantageous. Experience in the management of urgent care presentations and onward referrals for investigation and admission is expected.

Essential Requirements:

Post Graduate Diploma in Advanced Clinical Practice or equivalent.

Non-Medical Prescribing/Independent Prescriber Qualification.

We would be encouraging candidates to work toward MSc.

Salary is dependent on experience.
