Part Time Medical Receptionist

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and professional Medical Receptionist to join our reception team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for patients, providing exceptional customer service while managing administrative tasks efficiently. This role is crucial in ensuring the smooth operation of our medical practice and enhancing the patient experience.

Wage
Negotiable based on experience relative to equivalent post holders (Satisfies National Minimum Wage)

Hours
Part-time hours. Flexibility is required to assist in covering holidays or other absences.

Responsibilities
Greet patients warmly as they arrive at the practice, ensuring a welcoming environment.

  • Manage appointment scheduling, confirming and rescheduling as necessary to optimise patient flow.
  • Handle patient inquiries via phone and in person, providing accurate information regarding services and procedures.
  • Maintain patient records with confidentiality and accuracy, ensuring all information is up-to-date.
  • Process patient registrations.
  • Collaborate with medical staff to facilitate smooth operations within the practice.

Experience

  • Experience working in a GP medical practice or similar environment is preferred.
  • Strong organisational skills with attention to detail to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact professionally with patients and colleagues.
  • A compassionate approach towards patient care, demonstrating empathy and understanding in all interactions.
