Practice Nurse

Eglinton Family Practice is based in Irvine with a patient list size of 6800. We are a dynamic, forward thinking GP Training Practice. Our clinical team consists of 6 GP partners, 2 salaried GPs, 1 Practice Nurse and 1 Health Care Assistant/Phlebotomist.

Our multidisciplinary team colleagues include a full CTAC complement, a Community Link Worker, an Advanced Physiotherapist, Pharmacist and Pharmacy Technicians, a Mental Health Practitioner and a Money Matters practitioner.

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic General Practice nurse – full time – 37 hrs per week, however part-time hours or job sharing would be considered.

The successful applicant will need to be a Registered Nurse, display a willingness to develop a wide range of skills and be able to work independently but within a supportive team. Proficiency in chronic disease management would be an asset but the right applicant will be supported to develop skills in the range of disease presentations commonly encountered in Primary Care. Sexual and women’s health and cytology skills are desirable but again, we are supportive of continuing education in this area. Excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills are essential.   The practice uses Docman and EMIS.

Banding would be based on experience.
